NEC XON has a new GM of HR as it reorganises to strategically align with market requirements and NEC’s global employee strategy.
Ramona Adam joins NEC XON’s leadership team and offers more than two decades of executive talent acquisition and management expertise acquired in Africa at global organisations.
“We want to attract, retain, and elevate all levels of talent within the business to support our growth strategies across our three vertical focus areas, namely telco and network service providers, public sector and the enterprise market throughout sub-Sahara Africa,” says Carel Coetzee, CEO of NEC XON. “Ramona Adam will lead our HR blueprint to align closely with NEC Global, leveraging the skills and expertise of the group’s 110 000 people worldwide, to benefit our African customers across those pillars.”
Adam joins NEC XON from a global security firm that employs more than 140 000 people in Africa alone. She managed executive talent acquisition and management for the business across 23 African countries and the HR operations across 14.

Viven Bhowani, COO of NEC XON, says that as the landscape and markets in which NEC XON operates continue to evolve, so too must the way in which talent is managed and a diverse, inclusive workforce is fostered. With remote working, mobility and digitisation becoming increasingly relevant, traditional approaches to talent management benefit from enrichment.
