Role: Sales Manager

Main purpose of the job

NEC XON is looking for dynamic, outgoing and sales driven individuals to take strategic ownership and accountability for sales in these markets including all elements of talent management, business development, strategy, solutioning and bid management while leading and motivating the sales team.

Key responsibilities

Strategy

  • Provide input into broader NEC XON strategy;
  • Develop and communicate strategy and goals for  Sales and Solutions in the region;
  • Align the strategies and goals of the business units with the organisation go-to-market strategy;
  • Provide feedback from and insight into the market to the business units with the view to align solutions and customer value propositions
  • Drive opportunities for generating annuity income and Managed Services offering; and
  • Ensure that NEC XON’s sales teams are adequately positioned within the market.

Business Development

  • Oversee and align business development initiatives and approach in collaboration with the lines of business;
  • Encourage solution selling within the business through increased collaboration and solution positioning within the relevant target markets;
  • Enhance the positioning of solutions to clients and ensure appropriate quality assurance of sales and other marketing collateral for the business

Qualification & Experience

  • Relevant degree in Business Management;
  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience of which at least 7 years have been in Senior Sales Management roles;Minimum 10 years of Sales Experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Africa market;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a global, multi-national corporation;
  • Proven ability to drive collaboration and lead multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Previous budgeting and procurement experience is essential;
  • Previous experience in the effective management of vendor relationships and contract management;
  • Proven experience in deal engineering and solution development;
  • Extensive Customer Relationship Management in territory.
